Fátima Alves, investigadora Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Line do Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet e do Laboratório Associado Terra, participou como moderadora "World Symposium on Climate Change Policies: Science and Technology in Support of Policy-Making in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation", em formato online, que procurou promover debates aprofundados sobre a melhor forma de conceber e implementar políticas sólidas em matéria de alterações climáticas. Este evento foi organizado pelo UK Consortium for Sustainability Research (UK-CSR), Ecology and Environment Research Centre da Manchester Metropolitan University, o Sustainable Development and Climate Change Research and Transfer Centre ds HAW Hamburg - university of applied sciences e o International Climate Change Information and Research Programme.
