Palestra sobre Questões Socioambientais no Vale do Paraíba

Na última terça-feira (22 de outubro), o investigador e doutorando Gerson de Freitas Junior do Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Group do Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet, Laboratório Associado Terra da Universidade de Coimbra e da sua extensão na Universidade Aberta de Portugal, apresentou a palestra "Aziz Ab'Sáber e as questões socioambientais no Vale do Paraíba" em São Luiz do Paraitinga-SP, como parte das comemorações do Centenário de Aziz Ab'Sáber. Durante o evento, salientou como o projeto da central termoelétrica em Caçapava está desfasado do potencial paisagístico e ecológico da região do Vale do Paraíba.

Last Tuesday (22 October), researcher and PhD candidate Gerson de Freitas Junior, from the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Group of the Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet, Associate Laboratory Terra at the University of Coimbra and its extension at the Open University of Portugal, gave a lecture titled "Aziz Ab'Sáber and Socio-environmental Issues in the Paraíba Valley" in São Luiz do Paraitinga-SP, as part of the Centenary celebrations of Aziz Ab'Sáber. During the event, he highlighted how the thermal power plant project in Caçapava is misaligned with the landscape and ecological potential of the Paraíba Valley region.
