1º Intercâmbio Formativo e Oficina de Trabalho da Rede Marangatu!

Estamos entusiasmados em partilhar que a Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Line participou no 1º Intercâmbio Formativo e Oficina de Trabalho da Rede Marangatu - Rede de Ciência Cidadã para Governança Territorial e Promoção de Políticas de Preservação e Valorização da Sociobiodiversidade Costeira Marinha, coordenada pelo investigador Edmundo Gallo do Observatório de Territórios Sustentáveis e Saudáveis da Bocaina - OTSS e da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz).O projeto Associado da Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Line do Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet da Universidade de Coimbra e sua extensão na Universidade Aberta de Portugal "Promovendo o valor Cultural da Biodiversidade e da Sustentabilidade em Territórios Marinhos Costeiros: valorizando os saberes-fazeres plurais através da Universidade Intercultural dos Povos" teve uma participação ativa neste encontro que ocorreu em Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, entre os dias 7 e 9 de abril. Contamos com a presença física da coordenadora do projeto associado, Fátima Alves, e da investigadora Marília Fonseca, enquanto a investigadora Rosário Rosa e o investigador Diogo Guedes Vidal estiveram virtualmente presentes nas discussões. Desta equipa fazem ainda parte as investigadoras Helena Freitas, Paula Castro, Ana Mendonça, Vanda Viegas e Júlia Borges, bem como o investigador Jorge Moreira Durante este encontro, além das apresentações dos projetos associados que compõem a rede, foram debatidas sinergias e propostas formativas e de intercâmbio que irão alimentar a rede de ciência cidadã e a valorização sociocultural da sociobiodiversidade costeira marinha e dos povos e comunidades tradicionais ao longo dos próximos 3 anos. Agradecemos a todos/as os/as envolvidos/as por esta oportunidade de colaboração e aprendizagem mútua e estamos ansiosos/as para continuar a contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável e a preservação da sociobiodiversidade marinha! 

1st Formative Exchange and Workshop of the Marangatu Network! We are thrilled to share that the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Line participated in the 1st Formative Exchange and Workshop of the Marangatu Network - Citizen Science Network for Territorial Governance and Promotion of Policies for Preservation and Valorization of Coastal Marine Sociobiodiversity, coordinated by researcher Edmundo Gallo from the Observatory of Sustainable and Healthy Territories of Bocaina - OTSS and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). The Associated Project of the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Line, Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet of the University of Coimbra and its extension at the Open University of Portugal "Promoting the Cultural Value of Biodiversity and Sustainability in Coastal Marine Territories: valuing plural knowledge and practices through the Intercultural University of Peoples" had an active participation in this meeting that took place in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between April 7th and 9th.We had the physical presence of the coordinator of the associated project, Fátima Alves, and researcher Marília Fonseca, while researcher Rosário Rosa and Diogo Guedes Vidal were virtually present in the discussions. From this team also belong the researchers Helena Freitas, Paula Castro, Ana Mendonça, Vanda Viegas, Júlia Borges and Jorge Moreira During this meeting, in addition to the presentations of the associated projects that make up the network, synergies and proposals for training and exchange were discussed, which will nourish the citizen science network and the socio-cultural valorization of coastal marine sociobiodiversity and traditional peoples and communities over the next 3 years.We thank everyone involved for this opportunity for collaboration and mutual learning, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to sustainable development and the preservation of marine sociobiodiversity!
